Based on 380 reviewsDesi Express is recognized for offering authentic Pakistani cuisine with a strong emphasis on traditional flavors and good value for money. Customers often praise the delicious and reasonably priced dishes, particularly highlighting specialties like TakaTakk, Chae Tea, and mixed grills. The restaurant's interior is noted for its welcoming ambiance and cultural decor. However, there are recurring mentions of slow service during busy times and occasional inattentiveness from the staff. Some guests advise against purchasing pre-cooked dishes as freshness can vary. Convenience is slightly affected by limited parking options nearby. Overall, Desi Express is appreciated for its hearty, flavorful food and genuine culinary experience despite some service shortcomings.
Reasonable price. Service may be slow when busy. Don't buy pre cooked dishes as these may be days old. TakaTakk was awesome. Tawa was enough for 2 to 3 people.
Delicious food! I plan to eat there again. I don’t stay long got my food and dipped out. Great food tho.
Chae Tea was wonderful real desi taste, this is small restaurant well decorated they have curry's ready to serve good value for money
From healthy hearty food to good soul food, Desi Express has it and is THE place to go. From a very young age, I’ve been coming here to eat and it’s beautiful to see how the people working there, the food and the interior has progressed. I am both enamoured and impressed with the devotion that the staff have to their work and the service they provide. For me, as a mixed desi Asian I have attended many food places that try to really conceptualise and deliver traditional food. It also makes me someone who is very particular about what she likes and she knows her stuff. However, nowhere holds a place in my heart like Desi Express.
We ordered multiple starters and mixed grills ... they were delicious . Chicken handi and mixed lentil daal was okiesh. It is on the main road with no parking, we parked in nearest Morrison and walked to the restaurant. Staff wasn't much attentive if you needed something... had to wait for someone to notice you.
Delicious desi food mainly grilled items specially lamb chops Chicken wasn't very good but lamb karahi was optimal taste! No parking space Economical
This long established Pakistani restaurant is an absolute treasure! Delicious skewer grills, melt in your mouth curries and the freshest naan all contribute to a great experience. A hearty, authentic dinner for a very reasonable price. Service is friendly and efficient. Remember, cash only!
A good place to grab Pakistani food, their BBQ is the best. They take cash payments only so when you go it’s advisable to get some cash with you. You might face difficulties with parking as well.
